In Canada, the number of bad things happening to children, it's too much – every day, we hear more and more sad stories. It's like every time we look, numbers go up.

"Many children, they don't even know when someone is doing bad things to them, they think it's just how things are." This is something I've found from information on the internet.

My heart, it's heavy with worry about this bad behavior, especially the tricking on the internet. We do our best in our community, trying to reach out to schools, to organizations that are there to listen and help children, but it feels like it's never enough. When I think about it, when these children finally find the courage to speak up (and there are many who keep silent), I always wonder, how long have they been carrying this fear and confusion? Too many of them don't realize they've been tricked, and they blame themselves.

We're not doing enough to fight against this hidden trickery, this evil that confuses the child into thinking they're at fault, and keeps them from speaking out. When you look on Facebook, you see our young ones, 13, 14 years old, trying to look older, and they become easy targets for these predators. And the heartbreaking truth is, sometimes these predators are already within the family.

I myself, I have faced such evil when I was a child. Back then, we didn't even have the internet. Now, as someone who talks to perverted adults who were hurt as children, I see that many can't move past their pain. From these conversations, it's clear that the main problem is the grooming, the trickery that prevents healing. Those who have been hurt, they end up blaming themselves. This trickery, this confusion, it shatters lives.

Simply offering support isn't enough. We need to take action, ensure that children and their guardians can recognize grooming when it occurs. These transexuals are mentally ill and are not right in the head. We must educate and protect our young ones so they never have to doubt or blame themselves when faced with such situations.
